Please help,
I'm from Colorado Springs now, but orginally from NY and I'm trying to find anyone with info on how I can get some Ballantine Ale brewed in New Jersey until the mid 80's. I think Falstaff took over from there.
Pabst now owns the Ballantine brand and brews the beer at its brewery in central Pennsylvania. The beers tastes different that in the '50s, '60s and even the early '80s and distribution is limited. Not long ago, Fred Eckhardt wrote, "Ballantine IPA would be a good choice for the greatest and most enduring American brewing triumph of the early and mid-20th century."
