GABF brewers' diaries
Bill Madden
Capitol City Brewing - Sept. 18
Thoughts on GABF today ... not much again.
We are getting ready for Hurricane Isabel at the moment. I got in early today to get the second half of the Amber brew done by around 1-2 p.m. The restaurant was asked by the property management to batten down the outdoor furniture so it does not become a projectile. In typical fashion, when restaurant managers need to move furniture out of the way it goes in the brewery. There is enough metal furniture outside to seat a small army. I just want to get done early so I can go home and get all my outdoor stuff stored in the shed or tied down. The Federal Government is closed down for the day, which in Northern Virginia means that most of our clientele will be off today. It will be a weird day for business with the beer growler crowd coming in to get the necessary supplies for a storm.
I do not think the malt order will be coming in today.... Hopefully Isabel will blow over.
I am eight days from Denver.
