Lawmakers back brewpubs
Another Maryland county to legalize micro pubs
Mar 19, 1999 - The Prince George's County House delegation has endorsed legislation that would allow microbrew pubs to operate in the county. State law currently allows brewpubs in all but six Maryland counties. Prince George's, St. Mary's and Howard counties in the Washington area don't allow them.
The bill, sponsored by Sen. Paul G. Pinsky (D-Cheverly), allows the pubs to brew beer for consumption as long as food is served. The measure would limit the pub to brewing 2,000 barrels of beer a year.
