Review of McMenamins Tavern
A perfect example of a neighborhood bar, the McMenamins Tavern had the qualities you would look for. The interior design featured two dozen picnic tables and booths. Overhead, the 15 foot ceilings held neon signs, track lighting, and hanging plants. The small wooden two-part bar matched well with the black naugahyde booths. The overall atmosphere was comfortable due to the CD sound system and well-lit seating area.
The expected dozen or so McMenamins brews were on tap at reasonable prices; $1.35 / glass, $2.55 / pint, and $7 / pitcher. Smoking was allowed but didn't present an annoyance. Hours range from 11 AM to 1 AM Mondays through Saturdays and Noon to Midnight on Sundays.
