As Hurricane Dorian approached, production came to a halt for several Florida breweries, many of which filled fermenters with clean drinking water to provide to the community for free before and during the storm. Flying Boat Brewing in St. Petersburg reportedly posted on Facebook to let their community know free drinking water was available. Other announcements came from more than 60 breweries. There was, however, one brewery that went the other direction.

Beyond Oktoberfest: Everything You Need to Plan a Beercation to Bavaria, Germany
“My advice for a beer lover going to Bavaria would be to not get overly fixated on Munich,” says Joe Stange, who co-hosts the “One More Road for the Beer” podcast about beer and travel. “It’s a beer-garden amusement park and worth seeing, for sure, but don’t miss Franconia — especially Upper Franconia, Bamberg, and the villages around it.”

Lakefront Brewery recalls bottled beer because of ‘risk of explosion’
MILWAUKEE — Lakefront Brewery announced today that anyone with bottles of My Turn Junk beer should either refrigerate or carefully dispose of them. Brewery representatives say it’s been discovered that the beer contains wild yeast from the cherries it was brewed with, which continued to ferment. Subsequently, CO2 builds up in the bottles, making them at risk for explosion.
