I am a mild mannered metallurgist working in Research and Development at 3M Unitek in Monrovia, California. I used to work on the the International Space Station at McDonnell Douglas Aerospace in Huntington Beach, California.
I am interested in science, particularly the Natural Sciences, and my favorite TV channels are Discovery and PBS. One of these days I would like to be a contestant on Jeopardy. Other Hobbies include: Woodworking, Cooking, Fishing, Traveling, Reading SF/F, and lots of other miscellaneous things.
I was born in 1963 and was married to my best friend and fellow intrepid adventurer, Naomi, in 1991. I am originally from Midland, Michigan (Dow High 1982) and attended Michigan Technological University, graduating in Metallurgical Engineering in 1987. What a great school... I raise a glass to all my friends, Phi Kappa Theta fraternity brothers, Met. Dept. Faculty, and the rest of the UP. Cheers!
I like slapstick humor, Abbott and Costello are my all time favorites, along with Monty Python, The TICK, old Warner Bros cartoons, Strange Brew - the movie, and other lighthearted comedy. My favorite movie of all time is Star Wars, followed closely by The Blues Brothers, The Three Musketeers, those shown on American Movie Classics, and Forrest Gump.

Favorite authors include: David Brin, Ray Feist, Stephen Brust, Robert Jordan,
Anne McCafferey, Julian May, P.G. Wodehouse, and Gerald Durrell.
I am a patriot and tend to vote with the Democrats. I am an optimist. I firmly believe in the brotherhood of mankind.
