Original Three Floyds brewhouse available at eBay
May 29, 2000 - Indiana microbrewery Three Floyds Brewing, which recently moved to a bigger facility with a new brewery, is auctioning its original brewery at online auction site eBay.
Brewer Nick Floyd has made sure Three Floyds beers have lived up to their "It's not normal" slogan and in the process built a following that now extends beyond the Midwest. That allowed the company, probably best known for its Alpha King, to move to a new facility in Munster, Ind., with triple the capacity of the 2,500 barrels Three Floyds brewed before. The original brewhouse in Hammond, Ind., has an opening bid for $20,000 on eBay and carries a reserve. The auction ends June 6. eBay has auction information and Three Floyds offers still more about the equipment for those interested. The complete system includes a 5.5 barrel brewhouse, the four 16-barrel open fermenters that Nick Floyd calls the "famous Hammond Squares" and training by Floyd.
