Born in Shamrock, Texas, on St. Patrick's Day, son of the coach of the Fighting Irish, it's no wonder Dave Kelley wound up playing rugby and writing about beer and Irish whiskey.

Over the years he's been a regular contributor to Beer Across America, Drink Magazine, and Southern Draft Brew News, in addition to his position as Senior Editor at Boating World and Field Editor at Camping Life.

Based in Austin, Texas, Kelley has retired from rugby but continues to write about his other passions, beer, boating, baseball, and golf.
