Since The Christmas holiday period is just around the corner many Quebec brewers are taking this opportunity to present new products to the consumer.
The Cheval Blanc brewers just created a new beer called Snoro (Christmas ale) which is flavoured with cranberries. This 7%alc/vol should be in distribution as you are reading these lines.
The G.M.T. brewery is also coming out with a "Bi�re de No�l". This second edition is a 6% alc/vol copper coloured lager available in 341ml. and 660 ml. bottles. 1998 marks the 10th anniversary of the brewery, for this special event G.M.T. will introduce the "Belle Gueule Rousse" a Munich type amber lager with a 5% alc/vol content. Other projects are to be announced in the following months.
Unibroue's bottle conditioned, high quality beers with evocative French names such as Maudite, La Fin du Monde and Quelque Chose will soon be found in the state of Colorado. Unibroue will soon sell its products in the UK having entered into an agreement for the distribution of its products in this country of beer lovers.
Winter is here and the most unique of Unibroue beers is being promoted on the ski slopes all over Quebec. Quelque Chose (Something) is a beer made with macerated cherries and is served steaming hot (like coffee or coco) in its own special mug. A sure warmer-upper on cold winter daysäand nights.
Christmas has its loads of novelties for beer lovers. A new twelve pack of Unibroue's most popular beer, the Blanche de Chambly, is being launched for the Holiday season as well as a variety twelve pack. Many gift packages will also be commercialized. They will contain two packs of glasses, boxes of two bottles of beer and glass, and finally, a very original package which will be composed of a 750 ml. bottles of Unibroue beer and culinary delights.
Finally, the Aux 4 temps brewery in Saint-Hyacinthe has officially launched an 8,5% litre keg which is the equivalent of about 25 regular bottles. The "Gargouille blonde" an all malt lager has been chosen from their porfolio of products for this new concept reminiscent of the "bag-in-the-box" wine system.
