Beer: Hammer & Nail Brown Ale
Brewer: Hammer & Nail Brewers of Connecticut, Oakville, Connecticut
Appearance: Deep copper color; good head.
Aroma: Buttery, fresh and a bit fruity.
Taste: Sweet and buttery up front and in the middle, with a touch of roasted grains. A wonderful sweetness in the finish, balanced with subtle hop notes.
Summary: Delicious. Well-balanced. There's a lot going on here. The Nurse (born and raised in the U.K.) says this beer tastes British, and that it has a Tadcaster feel.
Brewer's Notes: Two-row pale, caramel, chocolate and Victory malts; Brewer's Gold and Willamette hops; 12.5 Plato, 5% ABV.
