Brewer: Dean Bloch, One World Brewing, for Ruben James Restaurant and Brewery, Burlington, Vermont
Appearance: Dark brown with hefty reddish hues; moderate head retention.
Aroma: Light, roasty nose with a hint of hops.
Taste: Dry and minerally, without the malty sweetness of the British styles of brown ale. A light-bodied "session" beer, reminiscent of English mild, but drier and hoppier.
Summary: An American spin on a classic British "session" brew.
Brewer's Notes: Pale malt extract, crystal and chocolate malts, roasted barley. Spalt and Tettnanger hops in the boil, dry-hopped with Goldings. 1.050 O.G.; 4.7% ABW.
